Haddonstone Celebrates 55 Years of British Craftsmanship in Garden Stonework

This year, Haddonstone proudly celebrates its 55th anniversary, marking more than half a century of creating premium, handmade cast stone designs for gardens across the UK and beyond.

Synonymous with enduring quality, timeless style, and meticulous craftsmanship, Haddonstone’s designs can be found adorning the landscapes of stately homes, Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) award-winning gardens, and private outdoor spaces.

Central to this legacy are the skilled craftspeople who handcraft each and every design. Many members of Haddonstone’s team have been with the company for decades, perfecting their skills and ensuring that every design is made to the very highest standards.

Meet the Craftspeople

From concept to final design, Simon Helm, Studio Manager, oversees the making of Haddonstone’s Home & Garden products. Simon shares:

“I’ve been with Haddonstone for almost 40 years, and over that time I’ve had the privilege of helping bring hundreds of designs to life. What makes it truly special is knowing how much our clients enjoy them, and that the designs we create will be admired and appreciated in their gardens for generations to come.”

Andy Marlow, Ornamental Chargehand, has been with Haddonstone for 37 years and is a master of the casting process. Andy says:

“Working with cast stone is all about patience and skill. I must have made every design in the Haddonstone Home & Garden range, which is no small feat as that's over a thousand products!"

Colin Cheshire, Finishing Technician, who has worked at Haddonstone for 3 years is responsible for ensuring our customers receive the highest quality cast stone designs. Colin explains:

“Every design is checked and hand-finished. This means that no product leaves the manufactory unless it's in first-class condition. It's always rewarding to hear how pleased our clients are with their designs".
